I’m Lucy and I help families like yours prepare for a holistic birth and postpartum time – from supporting your growing body and baby using nutrition to understanding your options in birth to “greenifying” your home before (or after) baby arrives to helping you feel confident as you journey through it all.
I know you have many questions…
How can I get the most from my birth experience?
How can I recover quickly and feel amazing after giving birth?
How can I get the support I need in the postpartum stage when I don’t have family or friends around?
How can I set my new baby up for the best possible life?
What do I need to do to avoid as many interventions as possible?
You know that answering these questions will make a difference in your baby’s life and also give you a birth experience that brings you joy and comfort to look back on.
Birth Doula Support
Beyond an extra pair of hands… a birth doula is your personally-hired support person and advocate, there to get you and your partner (and baby!) as close to the birth plan you set forth. Along with understanding how to “get you through” labor without pain meds, she’ll also help you communicate effectively with the midwife or OB and navigate the medical world.
Holistic Green Living
Should I be taking folic acid or folate? Fasting or snacking while pregnant? Can taking magnesium really make a difference? My hair is falling out… is that normal? Uhh…. they put what in that baby product?! We’ll help you navigate the vast world of “natural” living to support yourself and your family through food, nutrition, lifestyle, home products, and more.
Homemade Infant Formula
Exclusive breastfeeding isn’t an option, donor milk is scarce, and you’re looking for a nutritient-dense alternative to the conventional store-bought formulas. Based on the Weston A Price recipes, we guide you along so you feel great about what you’re feeding your little one.
Emergency in-home support available
Postpartum Doula Support
Many of us lack adequate support from family, friends, or partners after baby arrives, and instead of feeling the blissfulness of new motherhood, feel lost, alone, frazzled, and stressed. We come to your home to help with self care, education surrounding baby, offer a supportive ear, or even join you on your and baby’s first outing.
Unlimited Text Support
Sometimes a lengthy appointment just isn’t needed, but you want answers now. Text (or email) us any day, during waking hours, about anything related to your health, fitness, baby, postpartum, or birth experience. We are here to help educate you, weigh the pros and cons in decision making, and offer emotional support… as it comes up, when you need it the most.
“Lucy is just wonderful! I have seen true compassion, understanding, and determination on her journey through training together, and I am fully confident that she will provide only the best care possible for her clients.” Rita Montgomery
“Lucy offers unparalleled knowledge on both nutrition and maternal support – fertility through postpartum. I highly recommend her services!” Kamahria Hopkins
“During my postpartum I discovered that my baby had multiple allergens and sensitivities to the foods I was eating. Lucy helped me with coming up with a list of foods, supplements and home products to reduce the reactions in me and my little one. She was personal, always thorough and quick to respond when I had follow up questions.” Mare
